Trieste
Base was officially formed on July 20, 2008. We are
located in the SoCal Inland Empire.... Riverside County to
be exact. We are seeking new members in our area and
if you are a veteran, retiree, or active duty member who is
"Qualified in Submarines"
please Join Our Base. We meet
on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Wives and walks-ins
are always welcome.
We chose our name
after the deep-diving research bathyscaphes
Trieste I and
Trieste II.

TEMECULA PARADE. Trieste Base
participated in the Temecula 4th of July parade. There were
about 60 parade entries of all kinds, but only 1 submarine.
Trieste Base got a very loud and vocal welcome all along the
parade route. The route ran from the Stampede parking
lot on the west side of Front Street on the south side of
town, and proceeded north on Front Street to Moreno road, in
front of the Post Office. Our Trieste Base float won 1st
prize in the Special Float category, our first parade award.
A couple of our members had a nice chat with Congressman
Darrell Issa who was a participant in the parade along with the
Temecula and Murrieta city councils.

The second issue of our base newsletter, 'The Dive Log'
has been published. If you have not see it you can
download it here.
We are actively looking for
advertising sponsors for our newsletter.
Rates are $5 for a business card, $10 for a quarter page,
$15 for half a page, and $20 for a full page advertisement.
